Muhammad: what is Allah’s throne compared to the seven heavens?
God in Bible versus Allah in Quran-2
The writers of the Bible insist that the Lord God, the Almighty Creator, sleeps and He wakes up.
It is also said that the Lord God wakes up as a man wakes from the stupor of wine!
For three times, King David said:
1) Awake, and rise to my defense! Contend for me, my God and Lord.
2) Awake, O Lord! Why do you sleep? Rouse yourself! Do not reject us forever.
3) Then the Lord awoke as from sleep, as a man wakes from the stupor of wine.
In addition, Zechariah said:
Be silent, all flesh, before Jehovah; for he is waked up out of his holy habitation.
It should be emphasized that all Muslims do not believe that the Prophet King David would have said the above three insulting adages about the Almighty Creator; they believe that it is the Biblical writers who said that.
In the Noble Quran, Allah never ever sleeps and never ever wakes up because He is not like us. No slumber, nap, snooze, doze, siesta can seize Him, nor sleep.
That is why; anyone who says or believes that Allah, Almighty Creator, takes a nap, sleeps or wakes up is certainly a disbeliever and will dwell in the Eternal fire in the Hereafter.
It is a very insulting sin to say that; and such sin is unforgivable.
Verse 2:255 of the Noble Quran sheds light on this point.
In this verse, Allah praises Himself, saying:
Allah, there is no god, that is, there is none worthy of being worshipped in all existence, except Him,
He is:
- The Alive the Living, Who dies not,
- The Eternal, the Self-existent who has no beginning,
- The Everlasting,
- The Eternal Sustainer,
- The One constantly engaged in the management of His creation.
Slumber and or sleep does not seize Him
Neither slumber nor sleep overtakes Him) such that He is distracted from running and commanding it.
Unto Him belonged whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth of created beings.
Who is there, from amongst the dwellers of the heavens and the earth that intercedes with Him on the Day of Judgment save by His leave? Except by His command?
He knows what lies before them, that is, creation, and what is after them, of the affairs of this world and the Hereafter; and they encompass nothing of His knowledge, that is, they know nothing of what He knows, save such as He wills, to inform of it by way of His messengers.
In other words, He knows that which is in front of them regarding the matter of the Hereafter and who is to intercede and, He knows also that which is behind them of the life of this world, while they encompass nothing of His knowledge save that He will.
It is also said that the angels know nothing of the Hereafter or of the life of this world save that which Allah has taught them.
His throne subsumes the heavens and the earth,
It is said that His knowledge encompasses them both;
it is also said that the Kursi (Chair or ‘throne’) itself subsumes them on account of its vastness, as in the Prophetic Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad, ‘The seven heavens compared to the Kursi are like seven silver coins lying in a metal shield [of armor]‘; the preserving of them, the heavens and the earth, wearies Him not, does not burden Him;
He is the Sublime, above His creation by virtue of His subjugation [of them], the Tremendous and the Great.
In other words, His throne includes the heaven and the earth) He says that His Chair extends far beyond the heavens and the earth, (and He is never weary of preserving them) it is not burdensome for Him to preserve the Throne and Chair without the angels.
He is the Sublime, more sublime than anything.
He is the Tremendous, more tremendous than anything.
A Great Scientific hint in verse 2:255 that needs to be discovered:
The verse says:
“To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, as possessions, creatures and servants”
This indicates that there are forms of living creatures, servants in the heavens that most people do not know. This fact needs to be discovered by our modern sophisticated equipments.
Would or could NASA be able to clarify this great discovery that is proposed by the Noble Quran more than 1400 years ago?

The Bible
Psalm 35:23 (New International Version)

Psalm 44:23 (New International Version)
Awake, O Lord! Why do you sleep? Rouse yourself! Do not reject us forever.
Psalm 78:65 (New International Version)
Then the Lord awoke as from sleep, as a man wakes from the stupor of wine.
Zechariah 2:13 (American Standard Version)
Be silent, all flesh, before Jehovah; for he is waked up out of his holy habitation.
——
Verse 2:255 (Qarib’s translation)
Allah, there is no god except he, the living, the everlasting. Neither dozing, nor sleep overtakes him. To him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth. Who is he that shall intercede with him except by his permission! He knows what will be before their hands and what was behind them, and they do not comprehend anything of his knowledge except what he willed. His Kursi (Seat, Chair or ‘throne’) embraces the heavens and the earth, and the preserving of them does not weary him. He is the most High, the greatest.

Back to my question to the smart and interested reader:
Are the Scholars truthful when they claim that the Quran quoted from the Bible?
